Jeff MarineJeff Marine currently functions as the CEO and President of JEM Sportswear and Awake Inc., headquartered in San Fernando, California. JEM Sportswear manufactures apparel for men and boys. It is distributed to many well-known chain stores, including Wal-Mart, Macy’s, Sears, JC Penney, and Target. The company produces private labels for many of those stores and also manufactures for Disney, Ford, DreamWorks, Sony, and Universal.

As CEO, Jeff Marine oversees the company’s operations, which spread across California, Guatemala, and Mexico, where the manufacturing facility staffs approximately 500 employees. The center in Guatemala features a development and samples room for production-ready garments and produces 1.5MM units per month. The firm also sources products from the United States, Central America, and Asia.

JEM Sportswear was founded in 1971, and in 2001, Jeff Marine and his team of executives oversaw the introduction of Awake, the women’s apparel division. Awake focuses on producing novelty shirts and vintage-inspired collections, which attract the clientele of higher-end department stores, specialty stores, and chain stores. Jeff Marine and his team attribute their success to an understanding of consumer and market trends as well as strategic licensing partnerships.

To supplement his career at JEM Sportswear and Awake Inc., Jeff Marine sits on the Board of Directors for South West Apparel and Textile Manufacturers, serving as President in 2000. He also lent his expertise to the Board of Directors of Magic for five years and continues to participate on the Board of Directors with the Young Presidents Organization in Los Angeles. In 2004, Jeff Marine earned recognition from the Fashion Industries Guild as the fashion industry’s Man of the Year.
